Historical earthquakes in old engravings

Karolinum

Historical earthquakes in old engravings was an interesting exhibition of allegorical depictions based on the unique Jan Kozak Collection. The exhibition, jointly organized by the Geophysical Institute of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, and the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of the Charles University, took place in Prague from March 18 till April 20, 2003. As the exhibition was accompanied by posters showing present-day research, it was a good opportunity for a public presentation of the MAGMA centre, too.
