--- INTRODUCTION ---
--------------------
DEBOT is a time-domain global barotorpic ocean tide model with the full
lunisolar forcing computed from actual positions of the Sun and Moon.

Two version are available: PURELY HYDRODYNAMICAL given by a solution of
the shallow water equations only; and ASSIMILATIVE constrained by the
satellite altimetry.

----------------------
--- FILES OF DEBOT ---
----------------------
* debot.F90       = DEBOT Fortran source code
* mnovas.f        = NOVAS F3.1 subroutines to compute ephemerides
* cpp.h = file with C preprocessing options and all DEBOT parameters which can be changed
* SS_EPHEM.TXT    = ephemerides data file
* tideFreqExt.dat = list of selected tidal frequencies used for harmonic analysis
* N25.dat         = buoyancy frequency data
* tc_input.dat = input file with tidal constituents which should be extracted

Bathymetry files
* etopo1_ice_g_i2.bin
* gebco1_world.bin

For the assimilative version of DEBOT, it is needed to download the data either
from DTU10 model
ftp://ftp.space.dtu.dk/pub/DTU10/
or OSU12 model
http://geodeticscience.org/oceantides/OSU12v1.0
and put files to the folder with DEBOT

-------------------
--- COMPILATION ---
-------------------
The model was tested with modern versions of gfortran and Intel Fortran.
Faster computations were achived with Intel Fortran with optimization -O4
The source code may be compiled in serial or OpenMP parallel regimes.
All files must be in same folder.

Example of compilation:
ifort -openmp -O4 mnovas.f debot.F90
